So far the fieldwork has been very helpful in preparation for the final position paper. It is also a great way to apply all of the theory we have learned throughout this course. For my position papers I researched Fabletics and their communication to consumers through media sources as well as their use of Kate Hudson as their sponsoring celebrity. The final paper will allow me to look further into the topic of incorporating sustainability into fashion. My end of term paper will be focusing on the idea of Converse advertising how sustainable their Classic Chucks actually are and how marketing their use of natural latex (the rubber sole) and canvas in their shoe-making process and to utilizing media to inform consumers who look for sustainable products and set the company on a track that will bring them above their competition.
