Stuck in the Middle

My favorite part about our discussion on local and global in fashion was how while some of us listed ideas and things that could simply be put in either local or global, there were some ideas that were puzzling and made it complicated to put it under one section. It’s so easy to just name things that go in either section but when it starts to mesh into one, things get complicated, like localities in different countries and globally known brands being marketing on local levels.

Here’s an article with Nike advertisements for many different countries all over the world. Interesting to see the differences..

  1. I found this extremely interesting as well. It’s crazy how different places around the world require different types of ads! But I guess that does make sense, since every culture and every country is different and we react to fashion differently.
