Marc Jacobs: A ‘Slower’ Pace

During fashion week, Marc Jacobs’ show was a bit slower than the usually. Instead of playing an upbeat song during the show, he played a narrative. The narrative came from a 1976 short film. His line for this season was inspired by a quote from this movie about slowing down and becoming happy. I think this is a great inspiration. Marc himself is slowing down and become more focused on his own company. He had left his responsibilities at Louis Vuitton. This quote fits well for his life decisions, and for a new attitude for the year to come. He still had the fun detailing that his company is known for. The runway show progressed from very basic to more fun and almost cartoon like inspirations.
