  1. This article was interesting, inspiring, and easy to follow, as I myself am a huge Tommy Hilfiger fan. It is great how Tommy Hilfiger is willing to disclose what exactly went wrong and the mistakes he made so that readers, especially those wanting to design, learn best from him. He says, “I like to stick to my heritage and not chase trends and at that point we were chasing trends. Chasing trends was easy but it was dangerous. It’s more important to me now to be consistent.” This is absolutely relatable to our discussions on Chanel and how they are starting to try to hard and branch way away from their elements. This goes to show that there is nothing wrong with staying constant in a world of change; consumers will stay with a brand if they are faithful, others will adapt if it is something of their interest. Also a good motivator: “I’m fully aware of the fact that the level of success I’ve achieved just doesn’t happen every day.”
